Theregion,knownforitsrichice-and-snowresources,isridingonthewaveoftheBeijing2022WinterOlympicstodevelopitswintersportsindustryandpushforgreaterparticipation.

DuringthefirstsnowseasonafterChinasuccessfullyhostedtheBeijing2022WinterOlympics,northeastChina,consistingofLiaoning,Jilin,andHeilongjiangprovinces,achievedastrongrecoveryoftheice-and-snoweconomy.

Jilinregistereda23.61percentyear-on-yearincreaseinthenumberofdomestictouristsduringtheSpringFestivalholidaythisyear,andLiaoning"soverallrevenueofskiresortsintheperiodwas2.5timesthatofthesameholidaylastyear.Heilongjianghasseentheparticipationrateofmassice-and-snowsportsriseto57.8percent.
