HAIKOU,Jan.30(Xinhua)--Duringtheweek-longSpringFestivalholiday,whichendedonFriday,duty-freeshoppingboomedinsouthChina"sislandprovinceofHainanasitstourismgraduallyrebounded,unleashingnewconsumptionvitality.
Hainanreportedatotalof1.56billionyuan(about234millionU.S.dollars)inoffshoreduty-freesalesduringtheholiday,ayear-on-yearincreaseof5.88percent,accordingtoHaikouCustoms.Thenumberofshoppersforduty-freeproductsinHainanfromJan.21to27totaled157,000,up9.51percentfromlastyear"sSpringFestivalholiday,whichranfromJan.31toFeb.6.Eachshopperspentanaverageofnearly10,000yuan.
