DespitetheCOVID-19disruptions,China"seconomicmomentumcontinuesunabated,thankstostrongpolicysupportthathelpsfostervitalityininvestment,consumptionandtrade.

Chinahassustainedanaverageannualeconomicgrowthrateofabout4.5percentoverthepastthreeyears--significantlyhigherthantheworldaverage.

Onepropellerthathasdrivenmomentumistheutilizationofspecial-purposebonds,whicharecrucialinexpandingeffectiveinvestment.BytheendofNovember2022,localgovernmentsinChinahadissued4trillionyuanworthofnewspecial-purposebonds,offeringsupporttonearly30,000keyprojects.In2023,thecountrywillappropriatelyexpandtheareasinwhichthesebondscanbeinvestedandused.
